Aunt Bobbye’s Broccoli Casserole

 2 (10 oz) pkgs. Of frozen chopped broccoli

1 jar Cheeze Whiz (usually by Velveeta cheese but in a jar) with jalapeño’s if you can find it. I usually can’t find it anymore so the plain is fine. (I found this year 2012, Velveeta cheese w/jalapenos in a box 1 lb. that I used about ¾ lb., worked great)

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 cup evaporated milk

2 cups cooked rice

3 Tbsp. butter

1 med. Onion, chopped

Italian seasoned bread crumbs

 

Sauté onion in butter. Add semi-thawed broccoli; cook until thawed completely. Add other ingredients. Bake 30-45 minutes @ 350 degrees. Add bread crumbs on top and bake 5 more minutes till bubbly.
